COCOPLUS Certified Premium Quality (CPQ):


This means our products will only be received from factories that supply a buffered material (A-Quality) or a  triple washed material. (Standard)

Buffered means that the coco peat has been treated in such a way, that Sodium (Na) and Potassium (K) is being exchanged in the coco complex with Calcium (Ca) or Magnesium (Mg). Both Sodium and Potassium cause damage to the plant once it is being released by the coco peat during your growing season. This is merely due to the fact that you supply fertilizers such as Calcium and Magnesium, that will bind to the cocos. The Sodium and Potassium will be free in solution and can damage your crops due to the high ec-levels. Our CPQ quality means that we have already taken out the Sodium and Potassium, to make sure you have a substrate with a low ec level, without the threat of cut down on your fertilizers. The lower the ec of your substrate, the more you can influence your crops with adding fertilizers. This means higher crop yields, better quality and a financial profit that is just a fraction of the cost for the better substrates.

We guarantee an in our A- Quality and Standard material an ec level of < 0.5 ms in our CPQ substrates.

In the factories we work with concrete drying floors , so no inhabitant soils can contaminate the substrates.

Around the facilities, we have screen fences to prevent weeds seeds to be blown into the substrates. Also only one type of trees
without seeds, is allowed outside the fences for wind breaking.

All the CPQ products are handled by machines used only for this grade of quality. Other products are not allowed in this production line.

The raw material is composted for a minimum of 6 months , to kill possible organic contaminations. The period of composting
also has a positive effect on the growth quality of your crops. It appears that due to the ripeness of the substrate, Nitrogen (N) is
less to be bound by the substrate. Normally when young not composted material is used as substrate, it will cause uncontrollable
situations in your crops. We only except our product to be CPQ once the substrate has aged enough.

The value of the phyto sanitary quality is extremely important for growers and therefore for us. The products are constantly checked
on contaminations as nematodes, heavy metals, oil, weed seeds etc. Other phyto sanitary qualities are checked as well, and the
substrates are only allowed for sales if it meets the strict standards , checked by a third independent party.

Because it is very difficult to continually check the physical quality of the product, it is a fact that up front it has to be proven that any
contamination can be prevented. This means that there are no oil using machines allowed in the area around the stored products,
not even during the composting.  Everything has to be done on concrete floors, within (screen) fenced areas. Machines used for
regular material can not be used for CPQ material. Herbicides are not allowed in the area of CPQ production area.
